Is Studio Era right for me?

Wondering if Studio Era fits your goals, experience, schedule, or lifestyle? Here’s what to know before you join.

Studio Era is designed for women who want a clear fitness and nutrition system without having to figure everything out from scratch.

You get structured workouts, nutrition guidance and tools, progress tracking, community, and learning resources in one place, while still having room to make the experience work for your life.

You don’t need to be super fit, have a perfect schedule, or know everything about strength training or nutrition before you start.

Studio Era may be a good fit if you want...

  • Structure without an all-or-nothing approach. You have a plan to follow, but one imperfect day doesn’t mean starting over.

  • Strength training that fits into real life. Studio Era is built around efficient, follow-along training that can be done from home.

  • Nutrition guidance without an extreme diet. You get nutrition targets, meal plans, recipes, and tracking tools while still having flexibility around what you actually eat.

  • A system that brings everything together. Workouts, nutrition, daily movement, progress, community, and learning resources all live within the Studio Era experience.

  • Guidance without needing private coaching. Studio Era is primarily app-based and self-guided, with additional support through Maddie’s guidance, the community, coaching resources, and Studio Era Support.

And if you’ve been through the “I’ll start again on Monday” cycle before, you’re definitely not alone. Studio Era is built around creating something you can keep coming back to rather than another short-term reset.

What kinds of goals can Studio Era support?

Studio Era can support different fitness and body-composition goals.

You may be looking to:

  • Lose body fat

  • Build or maintain muscle

  • Get stronger

  • Improve body composition or definition

  • Build a more consistent fitness and nutrition routine

  • Maintain your progress rather than staying in a fat-loss phase forever

The tools are there to give you structure around training, nutrition, daily movement, and progress.

Individual results will always vary, so Studio Era doesn’t promise a specific number on the scale, body shape, or timeline.

What if I’m a beginner or getting back into exercise?

You don’t need previous strength-training experience to get started.

You can choose a workout program based on how often you want to train and approach the workouts at your current level.

That might mean using lighter equipment, changing your pace, reducing impact or range of motion, or taking additional breaks when you need them.

The goal isn’t to perfectly match someone else on screen. It’s to build a routine you can actually continue.

What if I already have strength-training experience?

Studio Era isn’t only for beginners.

If you already strength train, you can still use the programs and follow-along workouts while adjusting your weight selection and effort to make the sessions challenging for you.

The bigger fit question is the style of training you enjoy.

Studio Era is centered around efficient, app-guided strength training that can be done at home with relatively simple equipment. If what you specifically want is machine-heavy bodybuilding, long gym sessions, or max-strength barbell programming, that isn’t the core Studio Era format.

If you like structured strength training without needing to live in the gym, Studio Era may fit you really well.

What if I’m in my 50s, 60s, or beyond?

You’re not too old for Studio Era.

Women in their 50s, 60s, and beyond are part of the Studio Era community too.

The experience is centered around strength training, sustainable nutrition, daily movement, and consistency rather than trying to train like you’re 22 or relying on extreme approaches.

You can start where you are, choose a training cadence that suits your routine, and adjust your pace and equipment as needed.

If a health condition, injury, medication, menopause-related concern, or other medical factor affects how you exercise or eat, your healthcare provider can help you decide what’s appropriate for your individual situation.

What if I need flexibility with my schedule?

Studio Era is designed to give you structure without requiring you to organize your whole life around a workout schedule.

With a workout program, you can choose whether you want to strength train 3, 4, or 5 days per week, so you can pick the cadence that fits your routine.

You can also choose when you want to start your program rather than waiting for one universal start date.

Most Studio Era strength workouts fit into roughly 30 minutes, making them easier to work into a busy day.

And because the workouts are app-based, you can train at home or wherever you have the space and equipment you need. You’re not tied to a gym or a specific class time.

Need even more flexibility? You can choose an individual on-demand workout instead of following a complete program.

What if I’m vegetarian, vegan, or avoid certain foods?

Studio Era does not currently offer vegan meal plans, and vegetarian meal-plan options are limited.

You can still use Studio Era if you prefer a vegetarian or vegan diet. Your nutrition targets, Food Diary, recipes, and custom food and recipe tools can help you plan and log the foods you already eat without following a ready-made meal plan.

If you prefer to follow a Studio Era meal plan, review the available options in Explore → Nutrition to make sure there’s one that works for your dietary preferences.

For help choosing and adjusting a meal plan, see Use, customize or change a meal plan.

What if I have an injury, medical condition, or other health restriction?

Studio Era gives you room to adjust workouts to meet yourself where you are.

You can change your pace, reduce impact or range of motion, take extra breaks, or use lighter equipment when that feels more appropriate for you.

During workouts, Maddie may also offer different ways to approach a movement so you can choose the option that works best for you in the moment.

Good to know
Workout modifications aren’t a separate setting or selectable mode in the app. Any alternatives Maddie shares are part of the workout itself and can vary from one workout to another.

If you’re managing an injury, recovering from surgery, pregnant, taking medication, or have a health condition that affects exercise or nutrition, check with your healthcare provider about what’s appropriate for you before starting or changing your routine.

ℹ️

How personalized is Studio Era?

Studio Era sits somewhere between doing everything on your own and having a private coach build every decision for you.

Your nutrition targets are based on the information and goals you provide, and you choose the workout program, training cadence, and meal plan you want to follow.

You then have Studio Era’s workouts, nutrition tools, progress tracking, lessons, coaching resources, and community around you.

What Studio Era doesn’t provide is a private coach individually designing every workout and meal around you.

For many members, that middle ground is exactly the point: enough structure to know what to do next, with enough flexibility to make it work in real life.

When might Studio Era not be the right fit?

Studio Era may not match what you’re looking for if you need:

  • Medical diagnosis, treatment, or condition-specific exercise or nutrition advice

  • A fully individualized training or nutrition plan designed around medical needs

  • Ongoing one-to-one personal coaching

  • Traditional machine-heavy or max-strength gym programming as your primary training style

  • A guarantee of a particular weight, body shape, or timeline

Studio Era is built around guided app-based fitness, nutrition, tracking, learning, and community support.
