You can request a refund for a Studio Era membership, but the process depends on where your membership was originally purchased.
Before following the steps below, first check who manages your membership.
How do I know who bills my Studio Era membership?
From the Studio Era app:
Go to Home.
Tap your profile picture or initial in the top-right corner.
Scroll down and tap Manage Subscription.
Studio Era will send you to the billing system that manages your membership:
If Studio Era opens the Stripe billing portal, your membership is billed directly through Studio Era. This applies to purchases made through the Studio Era website or Android app.
If Studio Era opens Apple’s Subscriptions screen, Apple manages your membership and billing.
Using Studio Era on an iPhone or iPad does not necessarily mean Apple manages your membership. What matters is where you originally subscribed.
If you cannot access the app or are still unsure who manages your membership, contact Studio Era Support and we’ll help you identify the correct billing source.
Your device doesn’t determine who manages your membership
You can use Studio Era on an iPhone or iPad even if you originally subscribed through the Studio Era website or Android app.
How do I request a refund for a website or Android purchase?
If your membership was purchased through the Studio Era website or Android app, Studio Era manages the billing through Stripe.
To request a refund, contact Studio Era Support and include:
The email address connected to your Studio Era membership
A short explanation of why you’re requesting a refund
That is usually enough for our team to locate your membership and begin reviewing the request.
If we need additional information to identify the payment or understand what happened, we’ll ask for it.
Refund requests are reviewed individually
Submitting a refund request does not automatically mean a refund will be approved. Studio Era Support will review the account, billing details, and circumstances before confirming the outcome.
What happens after I submit a refund request?
Studio Era Support will review your request and the billing details connected to your membership.
Refund requests are assessed individually, so the outcome can vary depending on the circumstances.
Once the review is complete, our team will let you know the outcome and any next steps.
If a refund is approved, our team will also confirm what happens to your membership and future billing.
What if I purchased my membership through Apple?
If Apple manages your Studio Era membership, the refund request must be submitted directly to Apple.
Studio Era Support cannot approve or process refunds for Apple-managed purchases.
To request a refund:
Go to Apple’s Report a Problem page.
Sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
Choose Request a refund.
Select the reason for your request.
Select the Studio Era purchase and submit your request.
Apple will review the request and communicate the outcome directly to you. Refund approval and processing time are determined by Apple.
Does cancelling my membership automatically refund a payment?
No. Cancelling and requesting a refund are separate actions.
Cancelling your membership stops future renewals, but it does not automatically return a payment that has already been processed.
If you need to cancel your membership, see Cancel your membership or free trial.
If you also want a processed payment reviewed for a refund, follow the refund process above based on who manages your membership.
How long does an approved Studio Era refund take?
Once Studio Era has processed an approved refund, it will be returned to the original payment method.
Refunds usually appear within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
For Apple purchases, refund processing and timing are managed by Apple.
What if I was charged after cancelling, charged twice, or don’t recognize a charge?
Those situations may need to be investigated before we can determine what happened or whether a refund is needed.
See Charged after cancelling, charged twice, or charged unexpectedly for the next steps.
