Watch or cast Studio Era workouts on a TV or larger screen

Learn how to cast Studio Era workouts from iPhone, iPad, or Android to a compatible TV or larger screen using AirPlay or Google Cast.

Studio Era lets you cast workouts from your phone or tablet to a compatible TV or receiving device.

The casting options you see depend on your device and the casting features supported by your TV. Studio Era supports the casting options shown in the workout player, including AirPlay and Google Cast.

Before casting, start the workout in Studio Era and make sure it plays normally on your phone or tablet.

Cast from an iPhone or iPad

On iPhone and iPad, Studio Era gives you two ways to send a workout to another screen: AirPlay / Apple TV and Chromecast / Android TV.

  1. Open Studio Era and start the workout you want to play.

  2. Tap the video if the player controls are hidden.

  3. Tap the cast icon in the workout player.

  4. Under Send to TV, choose the option that matches your TV or receiving device:

    • AirPlay / Apple TV for an Apple TV or compatible AirPlay-enabled TV.

    • Chromecast / Android TV for a compatible Google Cast-enabled TV or receiver.

  5. Select your TV or receiving device from the list.

  6. If AirPlay asks for a code, enter the code shown on your TV.

  7. Once connected, the workout should play on the larger screen with video and audio.

Send to TV menu showing AirPlay or Apple TV and Chromecast or Android TV options.

While using Google Cast, you can return to the casting controls in Studio Era to manage playback or select Stop casting when you're finished.

Cast from an Android phone or tablet

On Android, Studio Era uses Google Cast to connect to compatible TVs and receiving devices.

  1. Open Studio Era and start the workout you want to play.

  2. Tap the video if the player controls are hidden.

  3. Tap the cast icon in the workout player.

  4. Under Cast to, select your TV or receiving device.

  5. Once connected, the workout should play on the larger screen with video and audio.

You can return to the casting controls in Studio Era while connected to manage or stop the casting session.

Which TVs and devices can I cast to?

Compatibility depends on the casting technology built into your TV or receiving device, rather than the TV brand alone.

Studio Era can use:

  • AirPlay / Apple TV from iPhone or iPad with a compatible AirPlay-enabled TV or Apple TV.

  • Chromecast / Android TV from iPhone or iPad with a compatible Google Cast-enabled TV or receiver.

  • Google Cast from Android with a compatible Google Cast-enabled TV or receiver.

A TV model may support one, both, or neither of these casting methods. Check your TV or streaming-device specifications if you're not sure which casting features it supports.

Third-party mirroring or receiver apps are separate from Studio Era's built-in casting options, so their setup and behavior may be different.

Watch a Studio Era workout on a laptop or computer

Studio Era doesn't currently have a browser or desktop workout player. If you'd still like to use a laptop as a larger screen, you can mirror your phone or tablet to the computer with a third-party screen-mirroring tool such as LetsView.

LetsView is not a Studio Era feature, so its availability, setup, and controls may change independently of the Studio Era app.

Mirror your phone to a laptop with LetsView

  1. Install LetsView on both devices.

    • On your phone or tablet, download LetsView from the App Store or Google Play.

    • On your laptop, download and install the desktop version from the LetsView website.

  2. Connect your phone and laptop to the same Wi-Fi network.

  3. Open LetsView on both devices.

  4. Start screen mirroring from your phone.

    • In LetsView, choose the screen-mirroring option and select your computer when it appears.

    • Follow the prompts on your phone to begin sharing your screen. Depending on your device, you may see options such as Screen Mirroring, Share my screen, or Start Broadcast.

  5. Open Studio Era and start your workout.

Once mirroring begins, your phone or tablet screen should appear on your laptop so you can follow the workout on the larger display.

Because this uses a third-party mirroring tool rather than Studio Era's built-in casting controls, Studio Era Support may not be able to troubleshoot issues inside LetsView itself.

If your TV doesn't appear or casting isn't working

If casting isn't working, start by confirming that the workout still plays normally on your phone or tablet.

If the workout also fails there, see Workout or video will not play instead.

If the workout plays normally on your device, try these checks before contacting Support.

Check the connection first

  1. Make sure your phone or tablet and the TV or receiving device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Make sure AirPlay or Google Cast is enabled and available on the receiving device.

  3. Disconnect from any VPN or proxy temporarily and try again. Restricted, public, or isolated Wi-Fi networks can prevent devices from discovering each other.

  4. Fully close and reopen Studio Era.

  5. Restart your phone or tablet.

  6. Restart or power-cycle the TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Google TV, or other receiving device.

  7. Open Studio Era again and try casting the workout.

  8. Try one other Studio Era workout to check whether the issue affects one video or casting generally.

If your TV still doesn't appear

Check whether the same TV or receiver appears when you try AirPlay or Google Cast from another compatible app.

If the device is missing there too, the issue is likely with the TV, receiving device, or network rather than Studio Era.

If other apps can find the device but Studio Era cannot, continue with the checks below.

If you're using AirPlay

If AirPlay works inconsistently or your TV no longer appears:

  1. Confirm the TV or receiving device supports AirPlay and that AirPlay is enabled in its settings.

  2. Restart both the iPhone or iPad and the TV or Apple TV.

  3. Try AirPlay from another video app.

  4. If your TV offers an option to remove or reset previously paired AirPlay devices, reset the saved AirPlay connections and pair your iPhone or iPad again. Menu names vary by TV model.

  5. Return to Studio Era and try Send to TV → AirPlay / Apple TV again.

If the TV shows an AirPlay code, enter that code on your iPhone or iPad when prompted.

If you're using Google Cast

If your Cast-enabled TV or receiver doesn't appear or won't connect:

  1. Confirm the phone or tablet and receiving device are on the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Restart the phone or tablet and the TV, Chromecast, Google TV, or Cast-enabled receiver.

  3. Confirm the receiving device is online and available for Google Cast.

  4. Try casting from another Cast-enabled app.

  5. If you're using a VPN, proxy, restricted network, or network setting that prevents devices from seeing each other, turn it off or move both devices to a normal private Wi-Fi network and try again.

  6. Return to Studio Era and open the Cast to list again.

If casting connects but playback doesn't work correctly

If the TV connects but the workout doesn't play as expected:

  1. Check whether both video and audio are affected, or only one.

  2. Stop casting and play the workout directly on your phone or tablet.

  3. If direct playback works, reconnect to the TV and try again.

  4. Restart both devices if you haven't already.

  5. Try another workout.

  6. Check whether another video app can cast successfully to the same TV or receiver.

If casting repeatedly disconnects, shows audio without video, stays on a black screen, or fails only with Studio Era while other apps cast normally, contact Studio Era Support.

Tell us:

  • whether you're using iPhone/iPad or Android,

  • your phone or tablet model,

  • your TV or receiving-device model,

  • whether you're using AirPlay or Google Cast,

  • whether both devices are on the same Wi-Fi,

  • whether casting works from other apps,

  • whether the issue affects one workout or several,

  • what happens when you try to connect, and

  • the exact message you see, if one appears.

A screenshot or short recording can also help us see what's happening.

For normal play, pause, audio, and full-screen controls inside Studio Era, see Workout playback, audio and full-screen controls.
