Studio Era app is not working or loading

Troubleshoot Studio Era if the app is freezing, crashing, stuck loading, or won’t open, and know what to do if the problem continues.

If Studio Era is freezing, crashing, stuck loading, or not opening properly, work through the sections below in order.

Try Studio Era again after each section. If it starts working, you can stop there.

Only one part of Studio Era having trouble?

The general troubleshooting steps in this guide can still help with problems affecting a specific feature. Start with the relevant checks below. If the problem continues and remains limited to one area, use the more specific troubleshooting guide for that feature.

1. Fully close and reopen Studio Era

Start by closing Studio Era completely and opening it again.

On an iPhone or iPad, open the app switcher, find Studio Era, and swipe its preview away. Then reopen Studio Era.

On Android, open your recent apps, find Studio Era, and swipe it away. Then reopen the app.

If Studio Era is still frozen or unresponsive on Android, you can also force stop it:

  1. Open your device Settings.

  2. Go to Apps.

  3. Find and open Studio Era.

  4. Tap Force stop.

  5. Open Studio Era again.

Android menu names can vary slightly depending on your phone.

If Studio Era still freezes, crashes, or won’t load, continue to the next section.

2. Restart your phone or tablet

If reopening Studio Era didn’t help, restart your device.

  1. Close Studio Era.

  2. Restart your phone or tablet normally.

  3. Wait for your device to reconnect to the internet.

  4. Open Studio Era again.

  5. Try the same thing that wasn’t working before.

If restarting fixes the problem but it starts happening again later, make a note of what you were doing when it returned. That information can be useful if the issue needs a closer look.

If the problem continues, check your connection next.

3. Check your internet connection

If Studio Era is loading slowly, getting stuck, or failing to load content, compare how it behaves on different connections.

Start with a quick check:

  1. Open another app or website and confirm your device can access the internet.

  2. If possible, try Studio Era using Wi-Fi.

  3. Turn Wi-Fi off and try Studio Era using mobile data.

  4. Note whether Studio Era fails on both connections or only one.

If Studio Era works on mobile data but not Wi-Fi

If Studio Era works on mobile data but not on your Wi-Fi network, try these checks:

  1. Restart your router or modem. Unplug its power, wait around 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for your Wi-Fi connection to return before opening Studio Era again.

  2. Forget and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. Make sure you know the Wi-Fi password before doing this.

    • On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → Wi-Fi, tap the information icon next to the network, then tap Forget This Network. Reconnect afterward.

    • On Android, open your Wi-Fi or Internet settings, select the saved network, and tap Forget. The exact path can vary by device.

  3. Try another Wi-Fi network, if one is available. If Studio Era works somewhere else, the problem may be limited to the original network.

  4. If you use a VPN, firewall, security app, parental-control app, or content blocker, temporarily turn off its network filtering or protection and test Studio Era again.

If your phone or tablet is managed by your employer, school, or another organization, don’t change required VPN or security settings. Check with whoever manages the device or network instead.

If other apps and websites also fail on the same Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi connection itself may need troubleshooting through your internet provider or network administrator.

If Studio Era works on Wi-Fi but not mobile data

First, make sure mobile data itself is working by opening another app or website with Wi-Fi turned off.

If you use an iPhone or iPad, also check that Studio Era is allowed to use mobile data:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.

  3. Scroll down to the list of apps.

  4. Make sure mobile data is enabled for Studio Era.

  5. Open Studio Era and test again.

If other apps also can’t use mobile data, the problem is more likely related to your mobile connection or carrier.

If other apps work normally on mobile data but Studio Era still doesn’t, continue with the next section.

If Studio Era doesn’t work on either Wi-Fi or mobile data

If the same problem happens on both connections while other apps can access the internet normally, move on to the next troubleshooting step.

4. Check for a Studio Era update

Make sure you’re using the latest version of Studio Era available for your device.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the App Store.

  2. Tap your profile picture.

  3. Check the available app updates.

  4. If Studio Era has an update available, install it.

  5. Open Studio Era and test the app again.

Android

  1. Open Google Play.

  2. Tap your profile picture.

  3. Tap Manage apps & device.

  4. Check for available updates.

  5. Update Studio Era if one is available.

  6. Open Studio Era and try again.

If the store only shows Open instead of Update, you already have the latest Studio Era version currently available to you.

If the problem began immediately after a Studio Era update, make a note of that in case the issue continues.

5. Clear Studio Era’s cache on Android

If you use Android, clearing Studio Era’s cache can remove temporary app files without clearing the app’s stored data.

The exact labels can vary by phone, but the path is usually similar to:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap Apps.

  3. Find and open Studio Era.

  4. Tap Storage & cache or Storage.

  5. Tap Clear cache.

  6. Open Studio Era and test it again.

Choose Clear cache only.

Don’t tap Clear storage, Clear data, or a similar option. Those controls remove app data rather than only temporary cached files.

iPhone and iPad don’t have an equivalent per-app Clear cache button, so Apple users can skip this section.

6. Check your device storage

If your phone or tablet is almost out of storage, apps can have trouble loading or running normally.

iPhone or iPad

Go to:

Settings → General → iPhone Storage
or
Settings → General → iPad Storage

Android

Open Settings and look for Storage. The exact location can vary depending on the device.

If your device shows that storage is almost full, free up some space before testing Studio Era again.

Once you’ve freed some space:

  1. Restart your device.

  2. Open Studio Era.

  3. Try the same action again.

You don’t need to remove Studio Era itself to free up space.

7. Check for a phone or tablet software update

If Studio Era is up to date and the problem continues, check whether your device has a system update available.

iPhone or iPad

Go to:

Settings → General → Software Update

If an update is available, follow the instructions on your device.

Android

The exact path varies by device, but you can usually find system updates under:

Settings → System → Software update

If you can’t find it, search your Settings for software update or system update.

After your device finishes updating and restarting, open Studio Era and try again.

If your device can’t install the version required by Studio Era, see Studio Era supported devices and operating systems.

If only one part of Studio Era is having trouble

The steps above aren’t only for problems affecting the whole app.

Closing and reopening Studio Era, restarting your device, checking your connection, updating the app, and clearing the Android cache can also help when the problem only affects one feature.

Start with the general steps that make sense for what you’re experiencing. If Studio Era works normally overall but the problem continues in one specific area, move to the troubleshooting guide for that feature:

  • If you’ve paid but Studio Era is asking you to subscribe, see I paid, but the app asks me to subscribe.

  • If a workout or video still won’t play, see Workout or video will not play.

  • If the problem only happens when using a TV or casting, see Watch or cast Studio Era workouts on a TV or larger screen.

  • If the problem is with a step tracker or wearable, see Connect and troubleshoot a step tracker or wearable.

  • If content or an entire section of the app seems to be missing, see Content or a feature is missing.

Those guides include checks specific to that part of Studio Era, while this article covers the general app and device troubleshooting that can apply across multiple features.
