Once you start a workout, the player gives you controls for playback, music, sound, and casting. Tap the video if the controls are hidden.
Control workout playback
During a workout:
Tap play/pause in the center of the video to pause or continue.
Use the 10-second back or 10-second forward controls to move through the workout.
Drag the playback bar to move to another point in the session.
During some parts of a workout, you may also see Skip Intro or Skip Warmup. These options only appear when that part of the session can be skipped.
Control music and sound
The music note and speaker controls do different things:
Music note: turns the workout music on or off. You may briefly see Switching audio... while the player changes the audio.
Speaker: mutes or unmutes all audio from the workout.
This means you can turn off the background music while keeping the rest of the workout audio, or mute the workout completely.
Use landscape or full-screen view
Studio Era does not use a separate full-screen button in the workout player. To make the workout video larger, rotate your device to landscape mode.
Your device must allow screen rotation:
iPhone: make sure Portrait Orientation Lock is turned off.
Android: make sure Auto-rotate is turned on.
Once screen rotation is enabled, turn your phone or tablet sideways to use the larger landscape workout view.
Cast the workout to another screen
When casting is available, a cast control appears in the workout player.
The available options depend on your device and the screen you want to connect to. For supported combinations and setup steps, see Watch or cast Studio Era workouts on a TV or larger screen.
If the workout will not play
If the workout video is blank, stuck, or will not start, see Workout or video will not play.
When you reach the end of your session, see Finish a workout and review your completed session.
